The Main Window
Landline's main window operates in two states: collapsed (StatusBar) and expanded (full panel). Understanding these states helps you use Landline efficiently while controlling traffic.
Window States
The window automatically transitions between states based on mouse interaction:

Collapsed View (StatusBar)
The collapsed view shows essential information at a glance without taking up screen space:

| Status Indicator | Left side | Green pulsing dot = "In Call", Gray dot = "Ready" |
| Pending Badge | Center | Red badge showing "X incoming" calls |
| Override Alert | Center | Orange badge "OVERRIDE: [callsign]" when overridden |
| Monitor Alert | Center | Blue badge "MONITOR: [callsign]" when monitored |
| Position Info | Right side | Your current callsign and "Landline" label |

The expanded view provides full access to all Landline features:

Control Panel

Window Docking
Landline can dock to six screen positions. Configure in Settings:

Dock Positions
- top-left - Upper-left corner
- top-center - Top center of screen
- top-right - Upper-right corner
- bottom-left - Lower-left corner
- bottom-center - Bottom center of screen
- bottom-right - Lower-right corner
Free-Floating Mode
If you drag the window manually, it enters free-floating mode:
- Yellow "Free" badge appears in settings
- Window stays where you placed it
- Select a dock position to re-dock
Multi-Monitor Support
Landline supports multiple monitors:
- Display selector appears in settings when multiple monitors detected
- Select which display to dock on
- Dock position is relative to the selected display
Always-on-Top
By default, Landline stays above other windows. This ensures you never miss incoming calls while using radar clients or other applications.
Pin to Stay Expanded
Click the pin button in the title bar to prevent the window from auto-collapsing when your mouse leaves. The pin icon shows blue when active.
